WHY I CREATED THE DECLUTTERING JOURNAL WORKBOOK

This is a workbook to help you declutter your home and life. More specifically, it’s a workbook to help you connect with your thoughts and feelings about decluttering.

Many of my readers say how much they enjoy and find journaling useful as part of a simpler, more intentional life. So, I thought I’d combine some decluttering ideas with journal prompts and this Decluttering Journal Workbook is the end result!

Decluttering isn’t always easy. There are practical considerations such as finding the time, energy and motivation. You might have some tough decisions to make as to where your unwanted stuff will go, or how you’ll get the rest of your family or household on board with your plans. But, there are also some emotional challenges you might face too.

Decluttering isn’t just about getting rid of physical stuff that we see and trip over. Decluttering actually comes from within – the decisions, choices and mindsets that we approach it with and use to decide what to keep and what to let go of.

Understanding your thoughts and feelings is the key to making positive and long-lasting change. Decluttering is no exception!

HOW JOURNALING CAN HELP YOU UNDERSTAND DECLUTTERING

Journaling is a fantastic way of exploring HOW we think and feel and really understanding WHY we think and feel what we do.

That’s why I created this workbook to help you use journaling to make the process of decluttering easier, more rewarding and more sustainable and long-lasting.

After all, decluttering doesn’t just mean getting rid of physical stuff that you can see, touch and trip over.

Decluttering also starts from within, how you think and the habits and behaviours that we use to go about our everyday life.

Whether you’re new to journaling and decluttering, or somebody who already has a regular journaling practice which you’re keen to keep up and use to help you clear clutter and create space – I really hope you enjoy this workbook!

Hi, I'm Antonia and I'm the creator of Balance Through Simplicity, a blog dedicated to helping you declutter your home, simplify life and live intentionally. This is a space that offers practical tips and easy-to-follow guidance to create a meaningful life you love.

For many years I juggled raising a young family with a demanding job. I ignored the warning signs of doing too much for too long until a melt-down at work forced me to re-evaluate my life and my misplaced priorities.

Through a lot of research and a fair amount of trial and error, I learnt that simplifying my life was the key to an easier, less stressful but much more fulfilling life for myself and my family.

Over the years I've turned my passion for the simple life into a website which encourages and teaches many others to simplify their lives too.
